Wiener dogs are quite dumb but they make a good arm rest.

So this weekend so far has consisted of catching up with amazing friends. Man I miss them a lot... being an hour and a half away doesn't seem that far away... but really it is. So I am thinking that trips to Steinbach will have to happen a little more. Yup :)

So last night I spent the night with my friend Taniya at the house where she is house sitting. And the owners of the house have a wiener dog named Penny. Sounds pretty cute right? But this thing is annoying and really dumb. She chews on her own feet. Enough said! And did you know that wiener dogs were made to kill rats? Explains the short stubby legs. Anywho, we put Penny in the basement for night... and she whined all night long. Quite annoying let me tell you... and she was mad at us for putting her there so she crapped everywhere in the basement. Thanks Penny you are dearly loved. And that is why I am using you as an armrest as you sleep beside me right now.

Well it is 12 noon so I guess it would be a good time to get out of bed and get ready! haha! Hope you all enjoy your weekend as much as I have already :)

Thoughts of the Day

So lately I think my brain has just been on overload.... And here is a good place just to vent it all out. So if you wanna know whats going on in my life lately... here ya go!

Numero uno:

Umm my job is great don't get me wrong but it is sometimes very overwhelming. Like when I am here I am responsible for 60 teenage bodies that don't always understand that rules are put in place so that they don't get hurt/lost/stolen/ or in the worst case senerio end up in a ditch somewhere dead. SO yes they don't understand this and therefore they just give me some sassy attitude and then, for lack of better words, they piss me off. seriously children open up your eyes and be smart ok? Also I care for my children deeply here... well this is kinda along the same lines but could be a different point sooo

One and a half:

So as I was saying I care for my children deeply. And when one of them gets hurt by someone else... I take it a little bit personally. Especially when that someone is a male and has no respect for women whatsoever. Especially when that male thinks they take advantage of a girl, crossing all her boundaries, and then treating her like a peice of meat. And then telling her that he can manipulate her to do anything he wants, or that he could just rape her right here right now and no one would believe her because everyone else would believe her and not him. Yup that fires me up and I just want to castrate that boy... yup harsh I know. Maybe this just hits so hard because it has happened to me in a previous relationship, but I think all girls should know that this is not how a male should treat a female. Ladies if he is worth any second of your time, he will treat you with the UPMOST respect and will not try anything because you are a human being and deserved to be cherished. PHEW... ok that took a lot out of me

Deux

I really miss Herman.... a lot! For those of you who do not know, Herman is my wonderfully handsome boyfriend. In 6 days we have been dating 6 months. And out of those 6 months I have been with him for a grand total of 5 weeks. That is a lot of time away from eachother.. a lot a lot. I miss holding his hand, I miss being in his arms, I miss watching movies together, I miss making him laugh, I miss our random conversations, I miss hugging him, I miss kisses, I miss awkward handholding moments, I miss awkward goodbyes... lol, I miss all the cute sweet nothings that come out of no where and I can't help but to smile, I miss...I miss everything... And we just realized that we will not be together our first Valentines day... that sucks.

Tres

Haiti... oh my goodness. Two earthquakes in the last 2 weeks... I think my friend Cecilly said it the best, "We don't get it do we? We don't understand mass graves. We don't understand 200,000 dead people. We don't understand not eating or drinking for 7 days. We don't understand pulling our loved ones out from under concrete and leaving them on the streets for dump trucks to collect. We don't understand dead bloated bodies and missing limbs. We don't get it. My heart is in anguish, we cannot begin to imagine the pain...." And when people just brush this off or don't wanna do anything about this... seriously people have a heart.

Well thats all I feel like writing today. Maybe more tomorrow... maybe not. have a good day/afternoon/evening/night.

Cereal Potluk = Best Idea EVER

Sooooo let me share with you what I did on my lovely Saturday. Just to set up the setting here; the night before I slept over at the Purple Palace...aka the appartment of where my three wonderful girl friends live. Pretty much the best place ever! It is seriously a place of refuge for me. Those three wonderful ladies just love me death, they feed me, they listen, they pray with me...so so sooo good. Love them all so much! So I think this idea came up before December to have a Cereal Potluk, and January 16th 2010 was blessed with this event. Seriously the best idea ever. We had over 12 different kind of cereals, and get this, no boring cereal was allowed. ONLY sugary goodness PLEASE!

Alas we ingested numerous bowls of sugary goodness with some really awesome friends! And then if sugar in a bowl with awesome friends isn't enough... we watch ALADDIN!!!!!!!!!!! I could not remember the last time I watched that movie. It is so funny... therefore the moral of the story is: get a bowl of cereal, only sugary goodness please, and watch Aladdin. It will make your day! Invite a few friends and share the joy.

A Poem for You!

4 Hours

4 Hours
3 Interruptions
2 New Faces
1 Day of the week

Dissing our jobs
Cutsie sweet nothings
Basking in each others good looks ;)
And not forgetting the "I love you's"

100's of reasons why I love you
99 reasons of why I should go home
98 minus 20 = 68 more days until I can see you
97 grins/smiles/smirks that made me melt

Zillionaires is what we shall be
Yup, we are definitely dreaming
Xceptionally great time was had
Watching cute Asian children sing The Beatles

There's only ONE way
TWO say
those THREE words
Four you....
I love you :)

No I didn't make up the last stanza of the poem... it's from the song 1234 by the Plain White T's. It just seemed very appropriate to finish up my poem. No copy write intended! So last night I spent 4 hours talking to my boyfriend over MSN Live video chat. It was definitely the high light of my week. But seriously long distances relationships kinda suck a lot. Avoid them at all costs...and I am not over exaggerating. This is not a blog about saying that they don't work... never ever would I say that... It is just much much harder than the typical relationship. You think that miscommunication happens when you are in a 'normal' distance realtionship.... now imagine being 20 hours apart....

It's really not all that bad. You definiely appreciate the little things and cherish your time toether. Your communication skill have to flurish or else you will not survive. A good thing in the long run I would say. You look forward to talking over webcam! Since when does that happen???

well that is all for today....stay tuned for cereal potluk! ... yea you know you want to read about that ;)

keep Haiti in your prayers...

So if you haven't heard yet; and you have been living under a rock if you haven't, a MASIVE earthquake hit Haiti on Tuesday. And it is sitting really heavy in my heart and I believe everyone should know about this and be praying for them because Haiti is a country in need. This country is the poorest of all countries in the Western hemisphere as well as the most densely populated.

80% of Haitians live in poverty... 80%!!! And not like poverty here in Canada. Technically I live under the poverty line and I have a warm house to go to, a bed, clothes, a car, an education, I am always full... and I even have a gym membership because I eat too much.... ironic??? But yet 80% of Haitians are scavenging for whatever food they can find, and if they don't find anything they starve. And now a natural disaster stikes on this country that is hanging on by it's fingertips.

Right now they aren't quite sure what the causality rate is but they are guessing it is up in the 100 000's. I dunno.. it just all seems a little unfair?? ( I kinda feel dumb saying that) But since when is life fair... please please please keep Haiti in your prayers...

See for yourself...

I started a blog!

So now that I made a blog I sit here and wonder, "what to write?!" I definitely have been wanting to do this for a while. Why? Maybe just because I want to write... I don't really care if people read it, although it would be nice... just saying. haha! But yea I have some ideas on what to write about so stay tuned! It shall come as soon as I get this all organized. woooot!
